Schizophrenic Conversations

Whew, busy weekend and I can’t believe I’m commenting on this just now.  On Friday Tim Wakefield announced his retirement after pitching 19 years in the major leagues with the last 17 coming with the Red Sox.  I think any Sox fan knows that they owe him a debt of gratitude for giving up a start and pitching in relief of Game 3 of the ALCS in 2004.  He always seemed like a real stand up guy, and based on quotes by former teammates after he retired he was exactly that.  I’m glad that he went out on his terms and as a Red Sox.  Thanks for all the great memories, Tim.
